- Expect: whitening "frosting", redness, swelling, heat
- Apply a cold compress (wrapped, not direct ice) for 10-15 minutes at a time
- Keep area clean, dry and protected
- Do not touch the area with dirty hands - infection risk is real
DAY 1-3 (Healing Phase Begins)
- Gently clean with lukewarm water + mild soap
- Pat dry
- Apply a thin lawyer of vaseline or a medical healing ointment (no fragrance)
- You might see light bruising and feel itchy
DAYS 3-10 (Critical Healing Window)
- You can now switch to a fragrance-free moisturizer
- NO sun exposure
- Avoid gym/sweating, hot tubs, baths, high clothing that may cause friction
ONGOING CARE (2-6 WEEKS)
- Keep skin hydrated
